Our original ethos when setting up Berwick Street Records four years ago was to provide a platform for new and unknown producers and to help get top quality music out on to the global stage whilst also releasing music by many big names.

So having recently dropped releases from the likes of Yousef, Smokin’ Jo, Sasse and Kenny Hawkes it’s about time we introduce you to two new kids on the block Nik Frattaroli & Khan. Having spent a few days in the studio with label boss Timo Garcia engineering for them they have come up with two killer tracks. And as if that wasn’t enough we have enlisted one of our earliest signings and now Global Underground hot shot Anil Chawla back to Berwick Street on remix duties where he turns in a real tech stomper.

Wonderlust (Free Your Mind) featuring Amber Jolene

BSR030 - General Mp3 release date 28th September 09

1. S&C Radio Edit
2. Original mix
3. James Harcourt remix
4. Justin Harris remix
5. Justin Harris Singapore remix
6. Shifter & Carvell remix

Timo and Amber first teamed up to create ‘The Morning After’ which features on his album as the closing song. A blissed out Balearic beauty with acoustic guitars, Hang Drum and salubrious vocals. Since then they have written and recorded vocals together for several other album tracks including one which was just snapped up by Sharam for his Yoshitoshi imprint.

This particular project however we had to keep for ourselves being as it’s the lead track for the Wonderlust Bug Album with Amber waxing lyrical about life. For more info on Amber check this page…

Whilst keeping the original remixes from the previous release the artists have carefully worked Amber’s sultry vocals over each remix. James Harcourt turns in a massive Tech House belter, perfect for the biggest of dance floors whilst Justin Harris of Freaks fame provides us with not one but two sublime pieces of House music here with a slightly deeper Singapore remix. Shifter & Carvell have made what is quite frankly amazingly epic Prog work out (which has already licensed to this summer’s Bora Bora compilation) as well as a well formed Radio Edit.

You can hear the radio edit and see a video clip of this track on youtube here which features footage from Bora Bora as well as Timo’s gigs in Brazil and Siberia
